Do you still offer transit during bad weather?: If Murray County School System is closed due to inclement weather, Murray County Transit will also be closed. Murray County government weather postings will air on area radio and TV stations.

1. How do I schedule a trip?: Please call (706) 695-5161 at least 24 hours in advance of your trip.

2. Who can ride?: Anyone can use our transportation services - we're open to the general public 18 years old and up.

3. How much does it cost?

Murray County Transit fares for a one-way trip:

0-9 miles: $2
10.1 miles and up: $3

Please have exact fare if possible as drivers do not carry change. Personal care attendants accompanying or assisting persons with disabilities are permitted and will not be charged.

4. What if I’m covered by Medicaid?: Medicaid will pay for non-emergency, medical-type trips. Call (866) 388-9844 to schedule a trip. Medicaid Transportation Information
