Mission Statement

The mission of Murray County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is to serve the citizens of all areas within Murray County through planning and response to natural and man-made disasters.

Goal

Our goal is to save lives and to protect property through coordinated efforts between local officials, emergency response agencies, and support services.

Operations Groups within EMA

The Murray County Search and Rescue Squad is responsible for victim extrication and search and rescue efforts on land and water. The Murray County Dive Team assists in rescue and recovery efforts of victims and of evidence. Both teams are made up of men and women that volunteer their time to train and respond to emergencies.
